Not much work getting done in the office today. My anxious co-workers (or Klarnauts, as we refer to one another) are gathered around TV screens and computer screens watching the semifinal match between Sweden and Finland.
No assembly required

Yep. IKEA now brews and sells its own beer. Drink only after assembling the new sofa bed.
The big game

That’s right people. It’s the first Sunday in February, and time for the biggest game of the year. Naturally, I’m talking about the world championship of bandy. It’s kind of like hockey, but it’s played outdoors on a rink(?) the size of a soccer field. It actually seems like a really cool game with much longer passes and more open field play than hockey. It doesn’t seem like much of a spectator sport though. The world championship this year is in Irkutsk, Russia, which is in Siberia. The game time temperatures have been around 20 degrees below zero (Fahrenheit). In case you missed the championship, Sweden lost 3-2 to Russia.

The neighborhood ice rink
Malin and Tilde went out for some ice skating this afternoon at the outdoor rink in our neighborhood.
A wild ride.
We have a pretty exciting sledding course in our neighborhood. It starts in our front yard, goes down our driveway, across the street and into the park, past the apple tree and down to the other end of the park. You even can catch some air over the bump as you head into the park!
