The twins and I went for a dog sledding tour in the “högfjäll” (basically mountains). It was amazing. Our guide only spoke Norwegian, but he had a little card of instructions in English with helpful pointers like “keep your feet planted firmly on the maws.” We never tipped over and I only came close to falling off once. Maja and Malin had to skip it because Maja has the flu.
Tilde is back on a snowboard. It’s going fairly well but the t-bars are a real challenge.
The Norwegians seem to take the Winter Olympics pretty seriously.
We got some more fresh snow last night. Apparently it’s snowed here almost every day since New Year’s! Some trees actually broke under the weight of all the snow.
These little characters are all over the place here near the bunny slopes. I think they’re kind of like Norwegian smurfs.
Sinner ski goggles! All the Norwegian “hockey moms” are wearing them this season.
This log cabin “vaffelstua” was built in 1790. Still seems to be in good shape and they make great waffles.
