Clear skies and a light dusting of new snow!

Nice job Malin,Mats, andBritt-Marie! The ham, ribs, fried herring, pickled herring, salmon, prince sausages, meatballs, red beet salad, green salad, red coleslaw, lutfisk, boiled eggs, homemade mustard, homemade bread, and everything else was great!

Tobias, Philip, Tilde and I went to Zinkendamm on annandag jul to watch some bandy. It’s actually a great spectator sport if you don’t mind the freezing cold. Many, if not most, of the spectators bring some hard liquor to help fight the cold.

Tilde didn’t mind the temperatures in the low teens yesterday. She was out ice skating almost the entire day.

What a beautiful Christmas Eve. The day was cold, crisp, and sunny with a heavy frost covering everything, really beautiful. Then the snow started falling around dinner time and is still falling now. Should be a beautiful Christmas Day tomorrow.

I had a good run and workout with Tilde yesterday. She is very chatty while jogging.

Tilde: Do you know how penguins walk without slipping on the ice?

Me: They must have a special way of walking.

Tilde: I already know how they do it. I just wanted to know if you knew

Me: Really? How do they do it?

Tilde: They go kind of sideways with their feet sideways and their feet are sharp on one side and slippery on the other side so they first walk with the slippery side and the use the sharp side so they don’t slip. Like this.

Me: How do you know so much about penguins?

Tilde: I don’t know. I just do.
