Good skiing weather and fresh snow in Funäsdalen for Tilde’s and Stella’s ski team training.

We took a walk from Malin’s parents to Bergkvara for a little fika. From this castle, Arvid Trolle and his family ruled most of southern Sweden during the 1400s. He and his troops fought off the Danes during multiple attacks on the castle. Now it’s a nice place for a picnic.

The kids helped set up the big Christmas tree by Mats’ and Britt-Marie’s house in Växjö.

Thanksgiving dinner at Anneli’s and Alan’s apartment in Södermalm. Best turkey on this side of the Atlantic!

Who says you can’t play golf in Sweden in late November?

The girls of class 3B had a blast at Fame Studios recording a couple of classics including “Mamma Mia” and “Party in the USA.”

A Friday tradition here is “fredagsmys” which means “Friday cozy.” The kids get to pick the dinner menu. After dinner, you curl up in the couch, watch TV and eat snacks. Mysigt!

We went to Thanksgiving at Martina’s house, which is a “kollektiv” (commune) where they just eat vegan. The food was great, and we met several of the current and past inhabitants of the commune. It happens to be the house that the movie “tillsammans” was based on (great movie by the way — it’s called “Together” in English).
